Cloud Developer

As our Cloud Engineer you will be part of the Business Service Management team delivering managed monitoring services ranging from infrastructure monitoring to business metrics therewith bridging the gap between business and IT. The managed service runs on a state-of-the-art, API-driven fully cloud-sourced platform hosting innovative technologies such as transaction tracing, big data (data lake), machine learning / AI and serverless coding

Your tasks as the Cloud Developer are to develop and maintain the monitoring infrastructure and customer specific configurations (data integrations, dashboards, etc.) delivering value to our customers.

The developer:

• Develops functionality for collecting, editing and storing monitoring data.
• Sets technical specifications, designs and builds technical interfaces, links with agents and databases, and performs application management on the monitoring platform, including configuration management, upgrades and releases.
• Ensures the proper functioning of the monitoring application and monitoring platform in consultation with technical management.
• Manages software defects, updates and patches with supplier (s) of monitoring software and data center services (server, network, database) and schedules upgrades and maintenance on the monitoring platform.
• Implement and maintain functionality for collecting and aggregating monitoring data (events, measurement data) into the Elasticsearch index stores.
• Is a real team player

You have experience with:

• UNIX/Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL)
• AWS Cloud Engineer (EC2, S3, VPC, Security Groups, Load Balancers)
• Data encryption (TLS, key/certificate usage)

You are proficient with at least 2 of the following 5:

• Elasticsearch / Logstash
• Kibana dashboards
• Programming skills (Java, Perl, …)
• Webservers (Apache, NGINX)
• Webservices (REST, API, JSON)

You are proficient with at least 1 of the following 3:

• Networking knowledge (firewalls, routing)
• Database Management (MySQL, Postgres)
• Data Modelling
