GCP Data Engineer

Will you join our team as our new GCP Data Engineer? You add value for our clients by solving complex challenges. You will support them where needed and know how to translate tech talk towards stakeholders on all levels to get everyone aligned and work towards common goals and meaningful solutions. These will be some of your tasks: 

• Setting up data platform technologies to manage and secure the stream of (un)structured from multiple sources; 
• You analyze and design jobs, considering the specifications in user stories; 
• You will design and build jobs to move data from different sources to GCP, across multiple layers; 
• You develop and maintain optimized data pipelines and architecture; 
• You deploy models to production and maintain a continuous integration pipeline, including monitoring and optimization of costs and performance; 
• You offer support with production issues.

• You have a Bsc or Msc degree, preferably in computer science, data science or similar; 
• You have at least 3 years experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on GCP. We're open to professionals on lead/architect level; 
• You have experience with multiple of the following tools/technologies: BigQuery (key!), Cloud SQL and NoSQL (I.e. Firebase, Spanner), Data Fusion, Dataflow, Dataform, Data Catalog, Dataplex, K8s (GKE), Spark/Hadoop (Dataproc), Airflow (Cloud Composer), Dataprep, Looker, Datastream, Terraform etc. 
• Advanced Python and/or Go skills; 
• Knowledge of IaC and Agile/Scrum; 
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills. 
• You’re preferably already living/working in The Netherlands.
