Mechanical Design Engineer - Netherlands based only

We are currently looking for medior Mechanical Design Engineers who have a thorough knowledge of precision mechanics, system dynamics, tribology and mechatronics. You are involved in the most exciting projects, from the first concept to the full development of new machines and systems. You combine your technical knowledge with excellent communication skills to help our clients bring their activities worldwide to Capgemini Engineering.

Your job in one paragraph

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you translate the customer's wishes into optimal technical solutions by taking into account guidelines and standards on the final design. In addition, you not only design the mechanics of hardware, but you also implement it together with your team. You hold quality in high esteem by conducting peer reviews and you add value by further developing and optimizing existing methods and processes.


Responsibilities:

  • Use CAD software to carry out the preliminary, detailed, and final designs.
  • Use PLM/PDM software to manage product data and processes.
  • Follow organisational and client’s review processes to collect and implement feedback.
  • Create Technical Product Documentations to ensure that technical part definition and specifications required to manufacture, assemble, test, pack, transport, service and maintain a part or assembly are captured.
  • Execute design changes in line with Change Management guidelines set by the organisation or client.
  • Work closely with Lead Engineers and Product Owners to deliver scope on time and with necessary quality requirements.
  • Produce presentations and reports to showcase work and share lessons learned with other
  • team members and stakeholders.
  • Engage with team and stakeholders to solve technical issues and propose robust solutions.

Why this job is a good fit for you?

·      Between 3-6 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in High Tech, Automotive, Aerospace, medical or semi-conductor industry

·      Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering/Physics/Mathematics

·      Proficient English language skills (Minimum C1 or equivalent)
