As a Software Technical Writer, you will be responsible for creating clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation for our software products. Your primary focus will be to produce user manuals, technical guides, API documentation, release notes, and other supporting materials that will assist our customers and internal stakeholders in effectively using our software solutions.

 

In short:

  • Responsible for Impact Analysis, Estimation, Authoring, and research activities for updates in the engineering system, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Analyse and interpret engineering CAD models and identify relevant prerequisites.
  • Create and revise authoring content to align with manual requirements.
  • Conduct quality assurance on one's own input, verifying the accuracy, coverage, and completeness of information from various data sources.
  • Apply established standards and guidelines to assess the quality of authoring and illustrations.

Why this job is a good fit for you?

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Mechanical, Aeronautical, Industrial Production, Automobile, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Writer in the hardware domain, with a minimum o 5 years of experience.
  • Familiarity with industry practices and standards in Aviation and Automotive.
  • Proficiency in using authoring tools like PTC Arbortext editor, Oxygen XML, and other Content Management Systems (CCMS) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
  • Strong visualization skills, including the ability to convert 2D designs into 3D representations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on clarity and technical accuracy.
  • Proficient in understanding and interpreting Engineering Drawings and conducting Impact analysis of Engineering documents.
  • Knowledge of DITA (Darwin Information Typing Architecture) would be considered an added advantage.
  • A proactive attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
