Technical Lead Mechanical Design

We are currently looking for Lead Design Engineers who have a thorough knowledge of precision mechanics, system dynamics, tribology and mechatronics. You are involved in the most exciting projects, from the first concept to the full development of new machines and systems. You combine your technical knowledge with your coordination skills to help our clients bring their activities worldwide to Capgemini Engineering.

As a Technical Lead you are responsible for the realization of high-precision mechanical modules, ensuring that the specifications in the field of safety, reliability, stability, pollution, cost-effectiveness, manufacturability and serviceability are met. The typical work consists of translating the general system design into a Flow and Thermal design that meets the engineering requirements. You are responsible for demonstrating that the design works as intended. You work in a team to deliver the committed work items in the team's backlog in a (quarter) cadence. As a TL you proactively manage internal and external stakeholders and you can review and improve designs. The team can vary in size from 2-10 design engineers.

• You hold an MSc degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or equivalent.
• At least 7 years of experience as a mechanical design engineer and experience in leading teams of up to 10 design engineers.
• You have experience with 3D CAD modeling preferably in Siemens NX and you can work in PLM system Teamcenter.
• Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerances, understanding of FMAE and DFMEA.
• You are a T-shaped engineer, preferably with knowledge of other domains, not just a mechanical specialist.
